1. Warm Home Discount Scheme

Warm home discount scheme was introduced by UK government in 2011. Energy companies and Government work together to facilitate low income people to avail certain discount on their energy bills. This scheme offers a rebate of up to £140 on the energy costs based on few qualifying criteria.

  • You must be receiving Guaranteed Credit element of Pension Credit

2. Winter Fuel Payment

According to this scheme, government provides payment between £100 and £300 for those specific customers who get state pension and other social security benefits.

Eligibility Criteria :
If you were born before 5th May, 1953 then only you can apply for winter fuel payment.

3. Cold Weather Payment

This scheme is applicable in certain areas who are hit by extreme cold or temperature around degree celsius between the month of November & March.

If you are getting any type of government support like pension credit, income support, credit allowance, income related employment and support allowance.
